Take Stage was created by a team of performers, producers, and technologists who’ve spent their lives in rehearsal rooms and recording studios (and code). We know the frustration of wanting to capture a moment — and the magic that happens when you finally get it right.

Sasha Popov
Founder
Sasha Popov is a Juilliard-trained musician and software engineer. After earning his master’s at The Juilliard School, he performed internationally and earned awards before turning to live video. Through PopovMedia, he produced live streams and hundreds of audition and performance recordings, working with organizations such as Jazz at Lincoln Center and the Martha Graham Dance Company. He went on to specialize in live video engineering at Activision Blizzard, Twitch and now AWS. He founded TakeStage to help young artists make professional audition recordings and work with their teachers from anywhere.
David Morgan
Design Director
David Morgan is a designer, developer, and creative entrepreneur with over a decade of experience building products at the intersection of design and technology. He is the founder of multiple successful digital and e-commerce businesses, including Organic Themes, Swell Scenes, Spookees, and several WordPress and Shopify apps focused on automation, content, and creative tools. With a background spanning web design, front-end development, generative art, and product strategy, David specializes in turning ideas into scalable, design-driven platforms.
Travis Totz
Marketing Director
Travis Totz is a designer and brand leader with more than 20 years in brand strategy and visual design, and he has been building with WordPress since 2006. He is Director of Brand and Marketing at Rocketgenius, the company behind Gravity Forms, and co-founded Swell Scenes with longtime collaborator David Morgan. Music has been part of his life since he took up percussion as a kid. He played in concert band, then in garage bands that opened for a few national acts, and he brings that experience to TakeStage.
